Suspects in the murder of Mary Wambui Kamangara were on Tuesday arraigned in a Kiambu court but could not take a plea.

Judy Wangui, mistress to the deceased’s husband Joseph Kori and the taxi driver who allegedly helped in getting rid of the body, Michael Githae appeared in court today.

The duo could not however take a plea as Wangui’s lawyer, Cliff Ombeta was missing in action.

The plea taking was pushed to next week on Monday.

On Wangui’s t-shirt was a message that read: “Ages are numbers and mine’s not listed.”

Last week the DCI set free Mr Kori after officers could not link him to the murder of his wife and mother of two.

According to officers who spoke to the Nation, detectives interrogated Kori for a couple of minutes outside Gigiri Police station and then sent him home.

Phone data obtained from Safaricom placed the businessman in Ngong’. His Lexus was also traced to the same location.

Wambui was found dead in Juja, Kiambu County on January 27. An autopsy report indicated that she was hit with a blunt object on the head.
