Margaret Kilelu, the Amref Nurse who was found in a coma in Mombasa after going missing from her home in Nairobi has passed away.
Initially the family members had sent out distress calls on social media to help find her and their search led them to a hospital in Mombasa.
The nurse who had been struggling with depression and was receiving treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital was rescued by a good Samaritan who took to Coast general Hospital,
According to her family, a Good Samaritan is reported to have found her near a petrol station in Bamburi and told the information to the Kadzandani Police Station.
Mr Chrispin Chombo, the nurse’s brother, explained: “According to information from the hospital …she was brought on Saturday morning by police officers. This after the Good Samaritan reported the matter to them.”
He then revealed that the Mombasa police then contacted them concerning his sister’s presence at the station on Sunday.

“When we got here we found her unconscious and we took her to Jocham Hospital for scanning where she was found to be okay. [Then we returned] her to CPGH
However, the family is yet to understand how their daughter who disappeared in Nairobi was found in Mombasa.
