Justus Kizito, Shinyalu MP was attacked by goons, he says were hired by former area MP Anami Lisamula.
Things went south when Kizito was about to take the stage. The rowdy youth are said to have pounced on him, preventing him from addressing the crowd.
The Lisamula hired crowd, booed the legislator and that is when chaos erupted.
A number of mourners are said to have been injured during the debacle.
”I was about to address the mourners when Lisamula’s goons pounced on me,” the MP said.
”Lisamula himself did not beat me. However, it is a pity that a leader of his stature can cause chaos at a funeral,” he continued.

The MP together with the injured mourners were taken to hospital for treatment, and later discharged.
Distancing himself from the shameful ordeal, Lisamula said that he was innocent.
