The Nairobi County Government will convert illegal dumpsites in city estates to children’s playgrounds, Governor Mike Sonko has declared.
The county boss has instructed the environment department officers to utilize all illegal dump-sites in a better way.
“Today I’m happy to announce that a section of Kangemi area cemetery, which was turned into illegal dumping site is now under rehabilitation. Soon, residents will use it as a parking,” Sonko stated.
The county boss asked residents to ensure they dump their garbage at designated areas.
