    “Nation Media Is On A Witch Hunt Mission, I am Seeking Legal Redress” – Mike Sonko

    Governor mike Sonko has accused Nation Media group of trying to undermine his leadership through what he termed as irresponsible journalism.

    An article ‘The Madhouse that is Sonko’s City Hall Office,’ was published on the Sunday Nation with an aim of portraying the governor’s office as dysfunctional.

    Governor Mike Sonko said the article lacked objectivity and he was not given an opportunity to respond to the accusations leveled against him.

    In his defense he said that the is aware of all things that happen at the city Hall office and he should be allowed to serve Nairobians who elected him the best way he knew how.

    The governor says that he is usually in the office at 5 A.M and that contrary to what the article portayed he we welcomes any Nairobi resident with genuine issues to visit his office. He said that the article was an actual witch hunt because they said he never allowed people in his office yet claimed that it was crowded.

    He accused the media house of allowing non objective articles to be published and circulated . He said that that such is detrimental to his work as an elected leader.

    Governor Mike Sonko has said that he will seek legal redress to ensure that the nationwide media house becomes responsible before publishing article.

    Nation Media group has been on the receiving end in the recent past, and is currently facing alot of legal issues as a result of publishing false information. People have speculated that the recent activities illustrate that the media house is being used by unscrupulous people to boost their agenda.

    Just recently Jimmy Wanjigi  said that he would sue the media house following the publication of his eulogy. he said that that could not have been an honest mistake but was meant to threaten his life.
