Harambee Stars goalkeeper Patrick Matasi has been unveiled at Ethiopia’s St. Georges on a two-year deal.

The immediate former Tusker FC custodian left the country early morning Thursday to put ink to paper with the multiple Ethiopian champions.

The Horsemen settled on Matasi after failing to capture Ghanaian shot stopper Mohammed Muntari.

The ex-Lusaka Dynamos player could not get his paperwork in order ahead of transfer deadline Friday.

Matasi, who kept a clean sheet as Kenya thumped Ethiopia 3-0 in the Afcon 2019 qualifiers at the Kasarani Stadium Sunday becomes the second Kenyan goalie to play in the Ethiopian Premier League after Zachary Onyango who played for St. Georges arch rivals Ethiopian Bunna.

He replaces Ugandan Robert Odongkara, who recently left the Addis Ababa giants for Adama Ketema.
