    PELE

As the cravings for the World Cup action hit crescendo ahead of the semi-finals starting tonight, here are some random facts to ease your appetite.

Pele’ is the only player with 3 world cup titles to his name. He won the 1958 world cup, 1962 and 1970 editions.

He received his 1962 winners’ medal in 2007 because he got injured and sat out the final.

Those years, FIFA only gave winners’ medals to the players who actually played in the final.

    All hail the real G.O.A.T!
