RADIO AFRICA GROUP PROGRAM CONTROLLER PETER SINCLAIR

Radio Africa Group was founded 18 years ago by Patrick Quarcoo and William Pike in Uganda then known as Capital Group.

One of the leading Media House in Kenya would then change names after entering into a joint venture with Kiprono Kittony, Sudhir Vidyarthi and Dr Richard Ayah.

Fast forward to 2018, the media house that houses The Star Newspaper, Kiss Tv, Kiss 100, Capital FM, East FM, Radio Jambo and Gukena FM is now on the spotlight for hiring and paying an aged group program controller monies running into hundreds of thousands.

Mr Pete Sinclair, an Australian national rumored to be in his eighties takes home a hefty package of Sh805, 687 on a monthly basis.

Sinclair, insider sources say that he has been with the company for close to ten years and despite overseeing listener research, content development, format structure,
marketing and promotions and talent coaching for the diverse radio stations
making up the group, does not possess basic computer skills.

It remains a wonder why the company has since September 2008 retained an individual making close to what the Group’s General Manager Martin Khafafa makes and is unproductive.

Sources within Lions Place indicate that the company does not recognize those who market the company with some taking home as little as Sh40,000 while others enjoy over Sh100,000 packages.

In a previous piece, Kahawa Tungu made public exactly how much Radio Africa celebrities make not forgetting Njogu wa Njoroge, recently poached from Kameme FM and now heads Gukena FM who on a monthly basis takes home a whooping Sh962,536.

The group’s Chief executive and one of the key founders Patrick Quarcoo is the highest paid employee taking home at least Sh1,776,651 every single month, Kahawa Tungu has established.
