NASA leader Raila Odinga has renounced an advert on a local daily calling for the opposition supporters to boycott Safaricom products.
The ‘fake’ advert called ‘on all patriots of Kenya to rally around the democratic ideal of non-collusion with companies and institutions implicated’ in robbing Odinga of the Presidency on August 8.
The ad also accuses the Jubilee party and Safaricom of trying to bungle another election.
The ‘photoshopped’ advert says that the telco firm intends to ‘transmit elections in a fraudulent, illegal and unconstitutional manner.’
Odinga defended the coalition saying that they had not placed any such advertisement in any publication.
