    Probe as reveler is found dead on a seat in a bar in Zimmerman

    Detectives are investigating the death of a man in a bar in Zimmerman area, Nairobi.

    The body of the man was found on a seat and leaning on a table moments after he had died. The cause of the death was not immediately known. Police said a brother of the deceased said he was to meet him at the bar on Sunday evening for talks.

    When he arrived at the bar, he found his brother unresponsive and seated on a chair while leaning on a table. They rushed him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

    The bar management said the deceased was in the company of two other people who were yet to be known and traced.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.

    Meanwhile, a night guard was found dead after an attack at his place of work in Riat, Ndhiwa, Homa Bay County.

    Police said the guard identified as Steven Ochieng, 27 was on duty at the Paris Bar when he was killed on Sunday morning.

    The motive of the murder was not established. His body which had stab wounds in the neck was found lying about 800 meters from his place of work.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations. The police said they are looking for assailants in the murder of the guard.

    And the decomposed body of a fisherman who had drowned in Lake Victoria was recovered.

    The body was found in Muhuru Bay, Migori County’s Senye Beach.

    The man had drowned on November 11, 2025 when he and a group of other fishermen were busy fishing in the area. Their boat was hit by waves and capsized. Three fishermen managed to swim to safety while Isaiah Okech, 42 drowned.

    His body was Sunday in the area while in a decomposed form, police said adding the body was moved to the mortuary pending other procedures.
