August 8 was the last time Raila Odinga ran for the presidency, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has said.
Odinga has according to Wetangula, the Ford Kenya party leader, stepped down in favour of his co-principals in NASA; Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka and himself.
The former Prime Minister who has tried his hand at the top job four times is still fighting for electoral justice. Elections in Kenya, the ODM party leader has said, have always had predetermined outcomes.
Speaking in Tongaren constituency, the legislator said that he would ensure that either he or ANC’s Mudavadi carried the day, both from the Mulembe nation. He added that the Luhya will in 2022 stand a better chance at bagging the presidency should they stick together.
But should either of them become the flag bearer, then it would mean Kalonzo was duped in 2013 where he signed an MOU.
CORD (Coalition of Reforms and Democracy) got Musyoka to back Raila’s 2013 bid against Uhuru Kenyatta and vowed to present him as their ‘man’ come 2017.
Wetangula, promised not to let the people down and would work with Mudavadi who he said should let him take the first stab at the presidency as he is older.

”I have told Musalia that we should work together. But as my younger brother, he should allow me as the elder one to lead first,” the leader of minority in the Senate said.
Earlier reports indicated that he (Moses) was headed to Deputy President, William Ruto’s camp, reports he is yet to deny.
The DP is leaving nothing to chance as he prepares to ‘hustle’ his way to the house on the hill come 2022.
