Tyreek Hill is an American professional football player who has an estimated net worth of $60 million. At the peak of his career, Hill earned an annual salary of about $30 million.

Nicknamed “Cheetah” because of his exceptional speed, Hill first rose to prominence as a wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League (NFL).

In March 2022, he signed a four-year contract worth $120 million with the Miami Dolphins, making him the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history at the time. The deal was later restructured in 2024, increasing his guaranteed earnings to $106.5 million.

However, Hill’s time with Miami ended in February 2026, when the Dolphins released him after an injury-shortened season.

    Tyreek Hill Contracts and Salary

Between 2016 and 2026, Tyreek Hill earned approximately $143 million in NFL salary alone.

Hill entered the NFL in 2016 as a fifth-round pick (165th overall) by the Kansas City Chiefs. He signed a four-year rookie contract worth $2.58 million, which included a $70,000 signing bonus and about $100,000 in guaranteed money.

After outperforming that deal, Hill signed a three-year contract extension worth $54 million with Kansas City in 2019. The contract carried an average annual value of $18 million and included around $35 million in guaranteed money, placing him among the league’s highest-paid receivers.

In March 2022, Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins and immediately signed a four-year, $120 million extension. The deal included $72.2 million guaranteed and a $25.5 million signing bonus, making him the first wide receiver to reach an average salary of $30 million per year.

In August 2024, the contract was restructured to three years and $90 million (2024–2026), raising his fully guaranteed earnings to $106.5 million, which was a positional record at the time.

But on February 16, 2026, the Dolphins released Hill. With no guaranteed salary remaining for the 2026 season and a projected $51.1 million salary cap hit, the team moved on as part of a roster reset. Miami absorbed about $28 million in dead money while clearing roughly $23 million in cap space.

    Early Life

Tyreek Hill was born on March 1, 1994, in Lauderhill, Florida. He was raised by his grandparents, Virginia and Herman Hill, in Pearson, Georgia.

Virginia once told The O’Colly, “I brought him home out the hospital. I prefer mother, even though I know I’m a grandmother first. I’m mom to him.”

Hill started playing flag football as a child and joined a Pop Warner league at age seven, competing against players older than him.

He later attended Coffee High School, where he excelled in track and field. In 2012, he won the 100-meter and 200-meter races at the Georgia 5A state meet.

That same year, after an impressive performance at the Golden South Classic, Track and Field News named him “High School Athlete of the Year.” He was also selected to USA Today All-American track and field team.

At age 18, Hill won a gold medal in the 4×100-meter relay and a bronze medal in the 200 meters at the World Junior Championships in Athletics 2012 in Barcelona.

    College Career

After high school, Hill attended Garden City Community College in Kansas, where he competed in both football and track.

In 2014, he transferred to Oklahoma State University. During his time there, he ranked second in the nation in combined return yards and 11th in all-purpose yards.

However, in December 2014, Hill was dismissed from the team following an arrest related to a domestic violence case.

He later continued his college career at the University of West Alabama in 2015, where he played multiple roles for the Tigers as a wide receiver, running back, kick returner, and punt returner.

    Professional NFL Career

Hill impressed scouts during West Alabama’s Pro Day, and despite concerns about his past legal issues, he was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid defended the decision, saying:

“The young man is trying to do the right things, whether it’s with counseling, whatever it is. He’s trying to do the right things to better himself. A lot of guys don’t try to right the wrong. I give the kid credit for doing that. He’s really working hard at that.”

Hill quickly proved his value. In one game against the Denver Broncos, he became the first NFL player since Gale Sayers in 1965 to record a kick return touchdown, receiving touchdown, and rushing touchdown in a single game.

Throughout his career, Hill earned several major honors, including:

    • First-team All-Pro selections in 2016, 2018, and 2020
    • Pro Bowl selections in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021

Hill also won Super Bowl LIV in 2020 when the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers.

The Chiefs later lost Super Bowl LV to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

    Personal Life

In December 2014, Hill was arrested for allegedly assaulting his pregnant girlfriend, Crystal Espinal. He later pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation and received three years of probation, along with a court order to complete anger-management counseling.

The couple became engaged in 2018 and share several children, including their son Zev and twins Nyla and Nakeem.

In 2023, Hill married fitness influencer Keeta Vaccaro, but she filed for divorce in April 2025 after about 15 months of marriage. Court filings showed Hill was ordered to provide temporary financial support, including monthly payments between $20,000 and $50,000, among other expenses.

Hill has also faced multiple paternity claims and said in a 2024 interview that he had 10 children, though the exact number remains unclear.

    Real Estate

Hill has invested millions in luxury real estate.

In 2019, he purchased a 7,562-square-foot home near Kansas City. He later listed the property for $1.3 million.

After joining the Miami Dolphins in 2022, Hill bought a $6.9 million mansion in Southwest Ranches, Florida. The 9,326-square-foot estate includes:

    • Seven bedrooms
    • Eight bathrooms
    • A resort-style swimming pool
    • A miniature golf course
    • A private cinema
    • A full-size basketball court
    • Two guest houses

In January 2024, a fire damaged part of the property after a child reportedly accidentally ignited a lighter. No injuries were reported.

Hill also owns a condo in the luxury Porsche Design Tower Miami.
