Police in Ruai, Nairobi, are investigating the death of a 37-year-old woman who was found hanging inside her bedroom following a suspected domestic dispute.

Anne Wangari was found dead at her neighbour’s house in Kamulu on Sunday night after her 13-year-old daughter reportedly sought refuge there amid a confrontation at their home.

A neighbour told police that he heard commotion at about 8:30pm before the girl ran to his house.

He responded and went to the family’s home, where he found Wangari hanging from the rooftop in the bedroom with a bedsheet tied around her neck.

Preliminary investigations indicated that Wangari and her husband, had a history of domestic disputes.

Police officers visited and processed the scene and noted visible injuries on Wangari’s forehead and on her husband’s face, raising questions about what happened before her death.

The body was removed to the Kenyatta University Hospital mortuary pending a postmortem examination.

The man who is being treated as a suspect, is assisting police with investigations into the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death.

Meanwhile, police in Nakuru County are investigating the death of a 26-year-old woman who was brought to Kabarak University Medical Centre while unresponsive and was pronounced dead on arrival.

The deceased, Genevieve Queen Osano and resident of Kampi ya Moto, was taken to the medical facility early Monday morning by her boyfriend accompanied by his father.

According to police the two transported Osano in a Nissan Navara after she became unresponsive.

She was pronounced dead upon arrival at the facility.

Police said there were no visible physical injuries on the body.

The scene was processed and documented as investigations commenced.

Osano’s body was subsequently moved to the Nakuru County Referral Hospital mortuary annex, where it is being preserved pending a postmortem examination to establish the cause of death.

Meanwhile, the boyfriend was detained by police to assist with investigations into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
