    rooneyFormer Manchester United star, Wayne Rooney has arrived in Tanzania as his team Everton prepares to battle Kenya’s very own Gor Mahia.

    Rooney who just rejoined Everton from Manchester United, was received by Tanzanian Sports minister Harrison Mwakyembe.

    This has been one of the most anticipated matches of the year courtesy of SportPesa.

    K’Ogalo won the SportPesa Cup which qualified them to face Everton.

    Everton FC confirmed the same through Twitter.

    The game will be held at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, which has a 60,000 seat capacity. Gor arrived in Tanzania on Tuesday.

    This will be Rooney’s first game in 13 years as an Everton player.
