Police are investigating an incident in which two men were found dead on the roadside along Mombasa Road, Athi River area, Machakos County.
The victims had deep panga cuts and seemed to have been killed elsewhere and dumped at the site on February 22 morning.
Police said a third victim is fighting for his life in hospital after the tragedy.
The motive of the incident is yet to be known.
Pedestrians reported that the men were lying near a petrol station with deep cuts.
Police visited the scene and established one victim had no identification documents. The second slain man was identified as Robert Irungu Makeri, 61.
The injured man was also aged 64 and was identified as Samuel Njoroge.
The victims had deep cuts and it is not clear where they were attacked and why.
The bodies were moved to the mortuary while the injured is in hospital pending autopsy and probe respectively.
Police said they are waiting for the injured man to recover for grilling to establish what happened.
Elsewhere, police are investigating an incident in which the body of a man was found in a kiosk after a suspected murder in Njoro, Nakuru County.
The deceased was identified as Michael Kibet. His body had bruises in the elbows and forehead.
Police said they were called and informed the body had been found at the scene on Monday February 24 morning long after the deceased had been killed.
The motive of the murder was not immediately established, police said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
Meanwhile, police are investigating an incident in which a five-year-old boy was thrown into a 40-foot borehole by a relative in Kabati, Kandara, Muranga County.
The boy was seriously injured after the incident. He was rescued and rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Police said he was in a stable condition on Tuesday after the weekend incident.
The motive of the incident is yet to be known.
Police said they are investigating attempted murder case and efforts to arrest the man are ongoing.
And two people were killed in a road accident along Chepterit-Chemundu road, Nandi County.
This is after two motorcycles collided head-on.
Police said as a result of the clash, two riders died while three pillion passengers suffered serious injuries.
The injured were rushed to the Kapsabet County Referral Hospital while the deceased’s bodies were preserved at the local mortuary.
Police said they are investigating the incident.
