    Government Printers female employee collapses and dies in office in Nairobi

    Police are investigating an incident where an employee at the Government Printers collapsed and died in office in Nairobi.

    Witnesses said Emmah Nyaaga was at her place of work on Tuesday March 11 afternoon when she collapsed.

    She was rushed to a nearby Rhodes chest clinic where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

    Police visited the hospital and found the body lying on the waiting bay area.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and probe.

    The family of the woman said she had no known medical history.

    In Kisasi, Kitui County, one Serah Musembi collapsed at her home in Ikothamwithi village and died.

    She was rushed to Mbitini Health Center and on arrival was pronounced dead.

    Preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased has been complaining of ulcers for a long time.

    The body was moved to Kitui General Hospital Mortuary awaiting autopsy.

    In Ruiru, Kiambu County, a guard was found dead in his house.

    Evans Mutingu, 50 failed to report to his place of work prompting his colleagues to go and look for him.

    They said he was also not responding to calls.

    The colleagues forced the door open and found his body lying lifeless on the bed.

    The body had no visible physical injuries and was moved to General Kago mortuary awaiting post-mortem and investigations.

    In Sokyot Village, Lugari, Kakamega County, a man was found dead on the roadside.

    Police officers visited the scene and established that Esau Kipruto, 35 had died beside a footpath. The body had no visible physical injury.

    The body was moved to the mortuary preservation and autopsy.

    Elsewhere in Kiambiu, Nairobi, a man collapsed and died in an incident.

    He was later identified as Simon Makunda, 51.

    Witnesses said he was walking to his house when he collapsed and died.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.

    Police said they are investigating the incident. Cases of sudden death are on the rise in separate incidents. The incidents are under probe, police said.
