    Activists Seek to Be Enjoined In Ngunjiri Wambugu’s Petition

    ActivistsSeasoned Activists Makau Mutua and Maina Kiai have sought to be enjoined in Ngunjiri Wambugu’s petition claiming that they should be accorded an opportunity to clean their names as the had been painted in bad light.

    The legislator claimed that the the activist masterminded a change of regime. In the petition Wambugu claims that the Chief Justice partnered with unscrupulous members of the civil society to try and bring political change through Judicial radicalization

    The activists had earlier applied to the JSC to have the petition by Wambugu withdrawn claiming it was in contravention to the constitutional right of fair hearing.

    Makau Mutua and Maina Kiai have been ardent critics of the government.

    Ngunjiri Wambugu has verbally declared withdrawal of the petition but is yet to formalize the new position with the JSC.
