    Advocates Will Now Be Required To Robe Up In Lower Courts

    Advocates appearing before the principal magistrates will be required to wear a robe starting from the month of September, an internal memo from the Judiciary read.

    Other none advocates who are frequent court users like children officers and probation officers will be required to wear a tie while attending the principal magistrates court.

    The Memo said that the new dress code is aimed at improving the decorum and according the court the seriousness it deserves.

    The dress code will be applied strictly with those who fail to adhere to it disallowed from addressing the court. However the dress code will be applied depending on the prevailing weather conditions.

    They will not however be required to wear wigs in this court.
