Mt Kenya leaders led by Gatundu MP , Moses Kuria and Ndaragua MP Jeremiah Kioni have said that any person who wishes to deputize William Ruto who has been identified as the Jubilee party flag bearer in 2022 must be nominated through the ballot.

The leaders said that it is the people who will choose who they would like to deputize William Ruto.
“As Mt Kenya leaders,we have agreed that Ruto will be our presidential flag bearer, but anyone wishing to deputize him must work hard for it,” the leaders said.
They told DP Ruto to work hard and provide for the Mt Kenya region during his final term as deputy president.
Mohamed Amin the member of parliament for Laikipia East said that the Deputy president position should not be given on the basis that they campaigned as state officers.
Jeremiah Kioni reiterated saying that the state officers should focus on their work and not distract elected members from fulfilling their promises to their constituents.
