Five armed men attacked Galole tallying centre in Tana River county where vote counting was going on.
The attackers stormed the tallying centre and stabbed one person to death, leaving others injured.

They disrupted the counting exercise as the officials ran for cover. Police managed to shoot two of the assailants while three of them took off on foot.
”We understand that the tallying exercise is ongoing and if some leaders have sensed defeat and want to misuse the youth then they should know that we will deal with them accordingly,” Coast Police boss Larry Kieng said.
Two people were shot dead in Mathare slum on Wednesday evening as protesters tried to attack police officers with pangas.
