Kenyan journalist Yassin Juma will appear in court at a much later date after he tested positive for COVID-19. According to Mr Abdulletif Amee, one of the three lawyers representing the freelance journalist, he will appear on August 18. Juma was to appear on August 13 but the hearing was adjourned due to his status. Ethiopian authorities have been holding Juma despite a court ordering his release on bail last Wednesday. Huduma Centre GPO will on Monday, August 17 resume operations, Ministry of Public Service has said. According to Lissu, motor vehicles have been destroyed as police officers present looked on and did nothing. Police are looking into the death of Suna West MP Peter Masara’s brother. The deceased, Michael Odhiambo was found in his apartment in Oruba village in Suna West Sub County on Wednesday evening. Neighbours reported a foul smell coming from his house.
