A Wines and Spirits shop in Umoja One Market was on Friday robbed by two men brandishing guns. According to East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP, Simon Mbugua, the police are pursuing the thieves. “This robbery took place in Umoja One Market. Churchill comedian Joseph Musyoki Kivindu alias Kasee, was on Sunday found dead on the roadside in Kinoo, Kiambu County. Online sources indicate that the funny man was struggling with alcoholism. 800 homes located in the Ngong Forest will be demolished as government moves to fence off the 3,700 acres of forest cover. Health CAS Dr Mercy Mwangangi has announced 278 new coronavirus cases. Dr Mwangangi noted that the positive cases were recorded after testing a 4,074 sample size in the last 24 hours. The newly detected infections have pushed Kenya’s total to 5,811. Of the new cases, 181 are males while 97 are females aged between 1 and 81 years. 31 more patients have been discharged, pushing the total number of recoveries to 1,936. Kirinyaga governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru holds no grudges against her accusers. Amani National Congress (ANC) on Friday resolved to expel Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala from the party. Malala, a first time member of Parliament, is said to have declined to appear before the disciplinary committee hence the expulsion. Police are searching for former Wajir senator Abdirahman Ali Hassan’s driver who is said to have disappeared with some Sh2.1 million. According to a police report, Joel Musyoki made away with the cash after dropping off his boss at Kenya International Convention Centre (KICC) on Wednesday at around 3.30pm.
