Kenya has in the last 24 hours confirmed 178 new cases of COVID-19. Speaking during the daily COVID-19 briefing at Afya House, Health CAS Dr Mercy Mwangangi said that this was after testing a 3,918 sample size. The new infections have pushed Kenya’s virus load to 5,384. Of the new cases, 123 are males while 55 are females aged between the ages of 1 and 76. A Thursday morning inferno has razed down Gikomba market’s cereals and second hand clothing sections. The cause of fire is yet to be established. Kenya has confirmed 254 new cases of COVID-19, health CAS Dr Mercy Mwangangi has announced. This was after testing a 4,859 sample size in the last 24 hours. The newly detected infections raise the total number of cases to 5,206. All the positive cases are Kenyans between the age of 4 and 92 years. 186 of them are males while 68 are females. Police officer accused of killing 13 year old Yassin Moyo was on Tuesday charged with murder. Mr Ndiema pleaded not guilty to the murder charge. Duncan Ndiema will be held at Capitol Hill Police Station as he awaits his bail application tomorrow.
