In a public notice, NMS director general Mohamed Abdalla said that the e-construction development application processing system has also been suspended. “The e-construction development application processing system formerly managed by NCCG is suspended immediately pending formation of a new system. 30 Kenyans living in the diaspora have died from the novel COVID-19, Foreign Affairs CS Raychelle Omamo has said. They are among the 193 cases reported outside Kenya, she told an Adhoc Committee on Covid-19 pandemic chaired by Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja. COVID-19 cases in Kenya have jumped to 737 after 22 people tested positive for the virus. These were among the 1,516 samples tested in the last 24 hours. 10 of the cases are from Nairobi, 8 from Mombasa, Bomet 1 and 3 from Kajiado. Four suspected gang members were on Wednesday morning fatally injured following a police shootout along Kangundo Road. The number of flood victims has risen to 237 up from 194 the previous week, Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa has said. On Wednesday, the CS noted that the number of affected households has shot to 161,000. “That is a very high number compared to those Kenyans who have lost their lives to COVID-19 who are about 33,” CS Wamalwa said. Detectives on Tuesday arrested pharmaceutical company director and two managers for violating a directive from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
