Former Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer and murder suspect Peter Mugure has sued the Ministry of Defence for stopping his salary. Through lawyer George Gori, Mugure who is accused of killing his wife Joyce Syombua 34, daughter Shanice Maua 11 and son Prince Michael aged five at the Laikipia Airbase on October 26,2019, wants his employer compelled to reinstate his salary. Mugure told Justice Njagi Marete that the ministry stopped remitting his pay shortly after his arraignment on May 13, 2020. Four men were on Sunday lynched by a mob in a case of mistaken identity in Kajiado, lawyer Wahome Thuku has claimed. Among the four were two brothers; Freddie, 30, and Victor, 25, who hailed from Kitengela. A 32-year-old man has admitted to selling his lover’s Sh5.7 million vehicle without her consent. Appearing before Milimani Law Courts Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi, Paul Kihika Wangari was charged with stealing Hellen Akinyi Omiti’s Toyota Prado. Kenya on Monday announced 745 new cases of Covid-19 from a sample size of 6,209 tested in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate is now 12.0%.
