Police have launched a manhunt for a female colleague believed to be on a killing spree. Corporal Caroline Kangogo who was attached to Nakuru Central Police Station is suspected to have fatally shot her lover and colleague Constable John Ogweno in Nakuru. Ogweno was found dead inside his vehicle which was parked at the station’s parking lot on Monday. A Nairobi Court will on Wednesday rule on whether police will continue to hold a suspect believed to have shot three people at Quiver Lounge along Thika Road on Friday night. Police are seeking to hold Dickson Njanja Mararo for 14 days as investigations into the matter continue. Former Vice President Moody Awori has lost his brother, Aggrey Awori. Awori, a former ICT minister in Uganda, passed away on Monday at around 2pm. Man behind the shooting of two police officers and a woman at Quiver Lounge along Thika Road has surrendered to the police. Dickson Njanja Mararo presented himself at the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road on Monday afternoon. A Kenyan national residing in the US has been jailed for 20 years for sexually assaulting an elderly woman. Joseph Ngigi Kariuki, an ex-employee at Brookdale Senior Living, was arrested in 2019 after sexually assaulting  a 79-year-old patient at his place of work. Last Thursday a Johnston County Jury found him guilty of the crime and sentenced him to prison. Police are hunting for a man who shot two police officers and a woman inside Quiver Lounge on Thika Road. The man, a civilian, is said to have fired three times at Constable Festus Musyoka attached to Starehe Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Constable Lawrence Muturi, attached to Kasarani’s petty crimes unit and Felistas Nziza. Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi has declared interest in running for the presidency come 2022. Speaking at his rural home of Kanyuambora in Mbeere North, Embu County, the speaker declared his bid but did not mention the party under which he would vie. Two police officers are nursing injuries after they shot each other near Quiver Lounge along Thika Road.
