Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has denied reports that President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday pledged to support a Nasa coalition candidate in 2022. City businessman, Shaikh Furoan Hussain has been jailed for three years for illegally harbouring nine Asian belly dancers in the country. Hussain who owns Balle Balle club in Parklands was on Tuesday found guilty of trafficking the nine belly dancers. Eight of the girls were from Nepal while one was Pakistani. A High Court has barred the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) from assigning duties to the 34 judges recently appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta. This will be until a case filed by a Nakuru doctor, Dr Magare Gikenyi, is heard and determined, ruled Justice James Makau. The petitioner, a general surgeon undertaking trauma consultancy at the Nakuru Level Five Hospital, moved to court seeking to have the six rejected judges appointed. A UoN post-graduate medical student, Dr Lydia Wahura Kanyoro, whose lifeless body was discovered at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) parking lot on Saturday died of chemical poisoning, an autopsy report has shown. DCI sleuths have arrested three suspects believed to have kidnapped a 79-year-old man in Kitale on June 6. The victim, Kennedy Bosire Nyabwari, disappeared after setting off for Kisii, from his Kitale home at around 5.30 pm, on the material day. A man risks three months behind bars or pay a fine of Sh20,000 for allowing his seven-year-old son to drive his motor vehicle. Ayub Kinyanjui Muigai was on Tuesday charged with permitting a person who is not a holder of a valid driving license to drive a motor vehicle. A Nairobi doctor on Saturday took her own life at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) parking lot. Dr Lydia Wahura Kanyoro was a post-graduate student in Pediatrics at the University of Nairobi (UoN) School of Medicine. 344 have tested positive for Covid-19, from a sample size of 3,654 tested in the last 24 hours, Ministry of Health has confirmed. The positivity rate is now at 9.4% with a total of 175,681 confirmed cases. Cumulative tests so far are 1,870,479. 151 patients have recovered, 127 from the Home Based and Isolation Care program and 24 from various health facilities across the country. County governments have threatened to shut down operations by June 24 should Treasury fail to disburse Sh102.6 billion. A teenage girl reported missing three days ago has been found dead in Changamwe, Mombasa County. According to Changamwe OCS Flabio Karimi, the 19-year-old girl is likely to have died in a road accident. “The accident occurred within Jomvu.
