Nyandarua county assembly speaker Ndegwa Wahome has claimed that his life is in danger. According to Wahome, a top politician in the county was planning to get rid of him in order to block him from participating in county politics. “The plan to make me disappear without trace has been hatched after a bid to remove me from the Speaker’s seat through impeachment proved impossible,” said Wahome who was reinstated a few days ago. A drunk motorist was on Saturday arrested in Nairobi’s Karen area for allegedly defying and assaulting a traffic police officer. A police report indicates that the suspect was arrested near Karen Country Club after defying the officer and attempted to escape. Police are probing an incident where a security guard was shot in a robbery gone wrong. The incident took place along Moi Avenue, Nairobi when an armed thug tried to rob a warehouse near Bihi Towers. Meshack Kipkoech is said to have ran over 6-year-old Birion Kinda, on December 25, 2017, along the Nakuru-Mogotio Road. The convict is said to have caused two more accidents in a span of ten minutes on the same day. President Uhuru Kenyatta has revoked Kembi Gitura’s appointment to the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (Kemsa) board. In a gazette notice dated April 28, the head of state instead appointed Mary Mwadime as the chairperson of the board. Her tenure, the notice says, will start on April 30 for a period of three years.
