Students who witnessed Mount Kenya University (MKU) colleague being stabbed by jilted lover over alleged infidelity have been taken for guidance and counseling, the management has announced. According to the principal in charge of Student Affairs Peter Waweru, MKU has also upped support for students on mental well-being, love affairs and handling rejections. The second-year student was stabbed severally on various parts of her body before her lover caused commotion and disappeared into the dark of the night. Safaricom Foundation has announced a partnership with Storymoja Publishers for a reading challenge to mark the Day of the African Child. Over 200,000 students from schools across the country took part in the challenge by reading text from Attack of the Shidas, a life skills story that uses science fiction to teach ethnic tolerance to children. The National Co-operative Housing Union (NACHU) Limited is at the centre of a land saga in Kiambu County, where it is accused of subdividing and selling a 402-acre parcel of land in Ruiru despite having not paid for it. Safaricom has today announced a Sh17.5 million sponsorship for the Safari Rally as the event makes its return to the World Rally Championship (WRC) calendar for the first time in close to two decades. The High Court has ordered the freezing of assets belonging to Goldenscape Greenhouses CEO Peter Mureithi Wangai and his companies. This follows a multimillion case facing Wangai over alleged fraud, where investors lost millions to his firm, Goldescape Greenhouses. Among the assets include vehicles, motorcycles, and land parcels distributed in different parts of the country.
