Once you enter the destination for your trip, Uber now gives you “Connect” as an option after ‘ChapChap’ and ‘Boda’. The feature, which was announced to the US last month, allows you to send packages to your target recipient. The driver will transport the package on your behalf. Kenya Pipeline Company has suffered a Sh2.8 billion loss following the drop in fuel consumption during this Covid-19 pandemic. The Covid-19 guidelines imposed included movement restrictions in and out of Nairobi, Mombasa and Mandera; curfews and lock-down of hot-spots within Mombasa and Nairobi. This dampened petroleum sales and reduced the use of the pipelines to ferry the commodity hitting the top line by about 40 per cent. The Nairobi County is deploying the use of an App for the Kazi Mtaani programme. The app will be used by the workers to clock in and out during working hours for accountability purposes. A study by Women in Real Estate (WIRE) shows that 92 percent of women in the industry have experienced sexual harassment. The report shows that 60.8 percent of the sexual harassment incidents take place at the workplace with 64.7 percent incidents reported to have been committed by a colleague or a fellow student. 49 percent of the victims told the offender to stop while 39.2 percent told a family member or friend. The New Auditor-General Nancy Gathungu says that she is worth Ksh30.89 million, according to submissions made to MPs during her vetting.
