Microsoft has unveiled a new PC mouse made from recycled ocean plastic waste. The company says this is to help clean up the environment and contribute to the battle against plastic waste accumulation. The shell of the mouse is made by collecting plastic waste from the ocean and processing it into resin pellets which are then added to other materials to form a strong shell. Sensational RnB singer, Otile Brown is in shock after YouTube deleted some of his most watched music videos. Many of the singer’s fans were left speculating after the videos disappeared from YouTube earlier this week. Among the songs removed are Dusuma, Chaguo La Moyo, Aiyana, and Such Kinda Love. Instagram is going ahead with its plans to prioritize video by combining IGTV and videos on the News feed to form Instagram videos. News feed videos are normally set to one minute long, with longer videos being supported by IGTV. However, the new format means that users can now make up to 60 minute videos without IGTV. Google has announced a $1 billion dollar investment in Africa over the next five years to build a submarine cable, support nonprofits and fund new companies. Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced the investment in a virtual meeting on Wednesday. The submarine internet cable, dubbed Equiano, is expected to link Africa to Europe. It is expected to connect at least 300 million people to the internet over the period, providing approximately 20 times more network capacity than the last cable built in the continent, reducing internet costs by about 21 percent. President Uhuru Kenyatta has been feted by the Barbadian government for promoting global trade and strengthening relations between African and the Caribbean countries. The President was conferred the ‘Order of Freedom of Barbados’ award, a national honour established by the Order of Freedom of Barbados Act 2019 by the Parliament of Barbados. Kenya Airways has added flights to London starting from Sh88,775. The national carrier announced on Wednesday that the move was made possible after the UK removed Kenya from its Covid-19 red list. “Starting 11th October 2021,  you can now fly to London and back every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday,” KQ said. A petitioner has moved to court to have New Kenya Cooperative Creameries (NKCC) managing director Nixon Sigey flushed out for being in office illegally. In court papers, Mr David Adema argues that Sigey was appointed against the law to serve the parastatal in January, despite his two three-year terms coming to a close. MTN Uganda is making its Initial Public Offer (IPO) at the Kampala stock exchange with plans to sell a fifth of its stake to East African investors, Kenyans included. The South African MTN subsidiary,  which was due for renewal of its licence, said it had obtained regulatory  approval to list 20 percent of its stake at the Kampala Bourse. MTN said it would release a prospectus containing details of the offer on October 11.
