The Kenya Internet Exchange Point (KIXP) has today revealed that it will be hosting servers of Akamai Technologies at the region’s only operational internet exchange point. Akamai currently delivers 15 to 30 per cent of the world’s web traffic reaching more than 15 Terabits per second. Total petrol station in Embakassi has now SACKED all attendants at the facility after reports went out that some attendants were openly stealing from motorists. The attendants were removed last week after investigations from Total Kenya headquarters uncovered a massive racket where petrol station attendants and manager were working to alter pump readings and so give motorists less fuel than they pay for. A section of Capital FM employees are up in arms against the move by the radio station’s management to hide the story of Mandi Sarro aka Miss Mandii having assaulted new presenter Anita Nderu. A man who went to have a meal at Yaya Centre got more than what he asked for when he was served food full of insect larvae at the upmarket Nairobi eatery. The man shared the video showing what he was served and claim that his complaints to the manager fell on deaf ears as he was dismissed casually by the restaurant. The latest wrangle is over the manner in which regular police officers shot and killed an administration police (AP) who was just from dropping an MP he escorted to the airport. Through the technology, Equity Bank customers can enjoy funds transfer, micro-payments and other mobile financial services that are agnostic across mobile devices, including traditional basic-feature phones using Taisys’s “mBanking” and “duoSIM”.
