Former VP, Kalonzo Musyoka, was in some unspecified mission in South Sudan recently. His Fokker plane then made a mistake of landing at a rebel controlled airstrip in the war torn nation. He was forced to ditch it and the plane was only released after 7 days. A video of some South African women mourning their dead friend by twerking at her funeral has gone viral. The women from Soshanguve region are known to respect their dead friends by twerking at their funerals. According to City Press, mourner shot the video and loaded it on to YouTube – and it’s become so popular an enterprising businessperson created a DVD that sold like hotcakes for R10 (Ksh 100) at bus stops in the neighbouring areas. According to Sun FM Zambia’s Facebook Page, a 19-year-old Kenyan and Kabarak University student has confessed to have deliberately infected 324 men with the HIV virus. The page further reports that the lady is on a mission to “destroy the society by infecting 2000 more by the end of 2014.” Among the 324 she claims to have infected, 156 are students, 3 politicians and the rest are married men, lecturers, lawyers, some celebrities among others. Essar is looking to sell its stake in the telecom market in Kenya. It seems that it’s that season when everybody is strategising as Orange has also appointed a transaction advisor, Lazard LTD, to enable it sell its stake in Uganda. Orange is rumoured to be planning to exit Kenya, DRC, Niger and Uganda as the two markets have proved to be a liability in their books. Kenya Airways has announced that it will cease Eldoret – Nairobi flights from April 1st. The national carrier has not revealed reasons behind the move but it is said to be one of the most unprofitable routes. All those who were booked to fly the Nairobi – Eldoret route will either be transfered to Jambo Jet or given refund for part  of the journey which has not been utilised. The deal is not yet penned as Safaricom and Airtel are still in disagreement with yuMobile on the modalities.
