A woman aged 84 was found dead after he had been murdered by his mentally ill daughter in a fight in Kathiani, Machakos County. The body of Kanini Mutali was found in her house with severe burns after the drama on October 15. She had been severely injured by hot water and the body was lying on the ground. The mentally ill daughter was suspected to be the person behind the callous murder. It is not clear what triggered the death. A Texas judge has blocked the execution of the first man to be put on death row in the US for murder charges related to “shaken baby syndrome”, less than two hours before the capital punishment was due to be carried out. Robert Roberson, 57, was sentenced to death in 2003 for the death of his two-year-old daughter, Nikki Curtis, after a post-mortem examination concluded she died of injuries from abuse. Part of the security attached to impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was scaled down. The move came after Speaker of the Senate Amason Kingi gazetted his removal from office through an impeachment. Senior Counsel Paul Muite has informed Senate Speaker Amason Kingi that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was taken to the hospital during the lunch break of his impeachment trial on Thursday. The European Investment Bank (EIB Global) and KCB Bank Kenya have today announced a €230 million (Sh32 billion) partnership to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs), youth and women in Kenya.  Of the money, €115 million will be a credit line from EIB Global to KCB, matched by €115 million from KCB’sown funds. A 19-year-old student whose video went viral during the nationwide Gen-Z protests died of carbon monoxide poisoning. An autopsy conducted on the body of Immaculate Nekesa at Kakamega County General Teaching and Referral Hospital on Monday revealed that smoke from a charcoal stove delivered the noxious gas into her body, starving her organs of oxygen. Her mother, Martha Nanjala, said they transferred her body to Bungoma County Referral Hospital ahead of her burial on November 2. A 17-year-old boy was killed in an attack by assailants as he tried to stop an assault on a 65-year-old man in a village in Kegogi, Kisii County. The suspects behind the attack are at large, police said. He was a form four student at Tambacha Secondary School.
