Former CNN star presenter Don Lemon has sued multi-billionaire Elon Musk and his social media company X, formerly known as Twitter, over the cancellation of a content deal. The lawsuit alleges that Mr Musk and his company unfairly terminated a partnership with Mr Lemon and refused to pay him after using his name to promote the social media platform with advertisers. A police officer who is among those in Haiti mission was shot and wounded in a confrontation with gangs in Port-au-Prince.  Officials said the team forming part of the Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission was on July 30 on patrol along the National Hospital-APN Sea Port road when they noticed a lorry that was being attacked and looted by suspected gangsters. Three US citizens imprisoned in Russia, including Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, are expected to be released on Thursday under a prisoner exchange deal. Gershkovich, US Marine veteran Paul Whelan, and Russian-American radio journalist Alsu Kurmasheva will be released under the deal agreed by the Biden administration, a senior US official confirmed. Israel’s military says it has confirmed that Hamas’s military chief Mohammed Deif was killed in an Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip last month. Deif was targeted in the strike on a compound in the Khan Younis area on 13 July. Hamas is yet to confirm his death. Israel says Deif was one of the figures responsible for planning the 7 October attacks in southern Israel in which 1,200 people were killed and 251 taken hostage. Undercover detectives from the Anti-Narcotics Unit at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)  intercepted a drug trafficker disguising herself as a normal passenger and recovered 1080 grams of cocaine. Police are investigating the murder of a 49 year old woman whose body was found in a bush in Kahawa West area, Nairobi. The woman was identified as Rose Njoki, police said. Her half naked body was found at the scene on Wednesday July 31 evening by pedestrians and seemed to have been killed elsewhere and body dumped there.
