Tourism Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua and his public Service counterpart Moses Kuria made the highest number of international trips last year, a TIFA survey has shown. A National Environmental Management Authority (Nema) official who was being sought in connection to the Embakasi gas explosion incident surrendered to the police Wednesday . Kenya and Toyota Tsusho Corporation of Japan have signed an agreement that will see the company set up a vehicle manufacturing plant in the country.  President William Ruto said Kenya is enhancing its partnership with Toyota to bolster vehicle manufacturing in the country. The number of people who have died from the Embakasi gas explosion rose to seven on Tuesday. This is after one of those admitted at the Kenyatta National Hospital with severe burns succumbed to the injuries. Detectives are investigating an incident in which two people were shot dead in a robbery incident in Bungoma Town. The victims include a woman and an accomplice who was accidentally shot. Police are investigating an incident in which a 29-year-old woman collapsed and died in their house in Komarock area, Nairobi. Relatives to Ivy Oluoch told police she started to experience difficulties in breathing on Tuesday evening before she collapsed. Honda Motor Co said on Tuesday it was recalling 750,000 vehicles in the United States over a defect involving air bags which could deploy unintentionally during a crash. The front passenger seat weight sensor may crack and short circuit, failing to suppress the air bag as intended, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Tuesday. Chilean ex-President Sebastián Piñera, who served two terms and was also a billionaire businessman, has died in a helicopter crash at the age of 74. The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) has raised its benchmark lending rate for the second consecutive monetary policy meeting, saying the move would help lower inflation and address pressure on the local shilling currency.
