A court has acquitted Embakasi MP Babu Owino in a case in which he was charged with misusing his firearm in relation to the shooting of Felix Orinda aka DJ Evolve. Police are investigating an incident in which a 55-year-old charcoal burner was shot and killed on his farm in Kainuk area, Turkana County. Paul Ekoel Ewlan was in a thicket in the area when gunmen accosted him at the weekend. Police said he was shot at close range by the gunmen who escaped the scene. Listed agribusiness and superfoods producer Kakuzi has successfully completed the inaugural export delivery of 181 Boran heifers to a Uganda-based rancher for breeding. The breeding heifers valued at more than Sh13.5 million left Kakuzi’s Makuyu, Murang’a County, livestock paddocks late last week and have now been received at Mpala Farm, in Kawempe Division, Central Uganda. A 28-year-old woman was stabbed to death in a fight over the conduct of her children in Kibera slums, Nairobi. Police said Jackline Anyango was stabbed by her neighbor in the fight over the conduct of their children who are said to have been playing there on Sunday evening. The neigbour picked a knife and stabbed the woman in the stomach killing her. According to police, the assailant escaped the scene and efforts to trace her are ongoing. Teachers will now receive a 7–10% salary increase after the Teacher Service Commission (TSC) and teachers’ unions reached an agreement. The agreement has been signed as a non-financial addendum to the 2021–2025 CBA.
