The High Court has ordered the Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai to restore Kandara Member of Parliament Alice Wahome’s security. In a petition filed at the court, Wahome had accused Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and PS Karanja Kibicho of having been behind the withdrawal of her bodyguard in February this year. The Judiciary has closed Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi for 14 days after staffers experienced symptoms similar to those of the novel coronavirus. Chief Justice David Maraga said in a statement on Wednesday that a member of staff had since tested positive for the virus. “That member of staff had physical contact with several others before testing positive. Cases of people collapsing and dying after developing breathing problems are on the rise amid the Covid-19 pandemic with the latest being Bondo officer commanding the police division (OCPD) Antony Wafula.
