A Chinese man is reportedly quarantined in his house in Nakuru County after exhibiting coronavirus-like symptoms. The man, married to a Kenyan woman, is said to have arrived from China on Sunday and isolated himself and had minimal contact with his family. A boda boda operator was on Tuesday shot dead by an Administration Police officer at the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital in Nairobi. Reports indicate that the rider identified as Daniel Mburu had brought a patient to the hospital when a scuffle ensued leading to the shooting incident. In a ruling delivered on Monday, Justice Mumbi Ngugi suspended the vetting process pending the hearing and determination of a petition filed by a Nairobi resident identified as Peter Agoro. Water hyacinth in Lake Victoria continues to threaten the existence of Africa’s largest freshwater five years after the government spent Ksh80 million to acquire a harvester that later stalled.
