Embattled Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko has been dealt a blow after a Nairobi Court declined to release his passport. Embattled Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko’s bank accounts have been frozen again. This follows an application filed at the High Court by the Assets Recovery Agency (ARA) on Wednesday. On Thursday, Justice Luka Kimaru certified the application agent further issuing orders to freeze accounts associated with Sonko. A Naivasha court on Monday acquitted nine suspects charged with the death of at least 48 people in the Solai dam tragedy in May 2018.
