Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with the death of a farm caretaker in Kapsimatwo, Nandi County. The Standard Seven pupil is said to have hit Jackson Liboyo Kaderathe with a stone after a confrontation leading to his death. According to the area assistant chief Philip Magut, the pupil had trespassed into a parcel of land manned by the 44-year-old man on his way home from school. A Kenyan national has been arrested in Nairobi in connection with a fake gold deal that left an Indian businessman counting losses of close to Sh200 million. Nakuru-based businessman and founder of Mololine Services Limited Kibera Muchai has passed on. Muchai died on Tuesday at the Nakuru Level Five Hospital where he was undergoing treatment after a short illness, his family said. The former Molo councilor was the founder of Mololine Sacco, a pioneer Matatu organisation that revolutionised public transport in Kenya. Murder suspect Joseph “Jowie” Irungu now risks going back to remand prison after allegedly violating his bail terms. Irungu is charged alongside former Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe for the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani which occurred in September 2018. Justice James Wakiaga had in February last year released Irungu on a Sh2 million bail or an alternative Sh3 million bond noting that the prosecution had failed to provide evidence showing why the suspect should continue being detained. Meru Senator Mithika Linturi was on Tuesday morning charged with attempted sexual assault. The embattled Senator was arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi. A contractor of the two-storey building that collapsed and killed three people on Monday in Mamboleo estate, Kisumu County, has been arrested. Police confirmed the arrest on Monday evening saying they are still pursuing the owner of the building who is still at large.
