A 15-year-old boy died after he had been assaulted by his friends at a party in Nambo village, Usenge, Siaya County.

Police said the incident happened on Monday November 10, 2025.

The victim who was a grade nine pupil at Nyayo Primary School had been assaulted by his friends at a homestead they were attending a housewarming party, police said.

He went home complaining of pain on his body. His father said he succumbed to his injuries while at home. Police were called to the scene and picked up the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.

The assailants escaped the scene and efforts to trace them are ongoing, police said.

Meanwhile, a night guard was killed in an attack at his place of work at Khumusalaba area, Khwisero, Kakamega County.

The deceased, identified as Nahashon Namungu, 56 was found lying in a pool of blood long after his murder, police said.

The motive of the murder was not immediately established. This is because nothing was stolen from the scene of the attack. His body was found lying a few meters away from the doorstep of a shop he was guarding.

Police moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.

A team of detectives visited the scene moments later as part of the probe into the murder. No arrest had been made on Tuesday, police said.

Elsewhere in Turbo, Uasin Gishu County, a man was found dead a few meters from his house at Chesumei village.

Police arrived at the scene and established that the deceased Daniel Ngetich Birgen’s body had injuries on the legs. There was no blood at the scene where the body lay and it is suspected the man might have been killed somewhere else and body dumped at the scene.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and probe.
