A school boy, from the St. Augustine’s Preparatory School in Mombasa on Friday died after the boy apparently dropped his bag in a hole that was in the bus.
The five year old boy apparently stood to pick his bag when the bus started moving and fell into the hole. The rear wheels of bus run him over killing him on the spot.
According to a source, the hole in the bus has been there for a while. The source termed the boy’s death as a case of negligence on the school’s part.

His sister, a class two pupil was also in the bus when the incident happened.
The accident took place in Majengo area at around 6.30 am. The bus driver and the attendant are said to have fled the scene of accident.

The police and school officials rushed to the scene of accident.
