National Super Alliance is said to be losing its grip on one of its Western Kenya strongholds, Bungoma county.
The area has always been the former prime minister’s, Raila Odinga, turf but things seem to have changed.
According to the Star, Sirisia MP, John Waluke’s rally on Sunday attracted a mammoth crowd that left NASA pointmen in the area awestruck.
Waluke’s rally is said to be the only Jubilee affiliated rally that has been successful. President Uhuru’s tour of the area was faced with a lot of opposition and the area governor accused of renting the crowds.
The retired Major General’s rally was so well attended it is said the NASA honchos are still wondering whether President Uhuru and his brigade have at last managed to make significant inroads in Western Kenya.
It is also said that the mobilizers of the crowd alongside Governor Ken Lusaka were on Tuesday spotted jovially hugging colleagues and taunting the opposition for losing ground in the region.
