    Casualties reported after chopper bursts into flames on crashing in Mosop

    Unknown number of people were Saturday killed after a chopper crashed and burnt in a tragic incident in Chepkiep, Mosop constituency Nandi County.

    Officials said there were at least five people on board.

    The chopper had left Nairobi for the area with a pilot and picked up unidentified people who he was to drop in the capital when it crashed.

    The area was misty when it crashed, witnesses and officials said. Officials believe it crashed because of poor visibility.

    The commercial chopper burst into flames on crashing.

    Locals said there were people on board and who got burnt in the incident.

    Police said they would give a brief later.

    Emergency teams responded to the scene after the incident.

    Most parts of the country have been experiencing heavy rains.
