Clàudia Pina Medina is a Spanish professional footballer born on 12 August 2001 in Montcada i Reixac, near Barcelona.

She plays primarily as a forward, left winger or attacking midfielder for FC Barcelona in Liga F and the Spain women’s national team.

Regarded as one of the finest strikers in the women’s game, she is known for her sharp goalscoring instinct, technical ability and close bond with her family in her hometown.

Her mother, Beatriz Medina, runs a sports-themed bar called Bar Gol in Montcada i Reixac that features football-inspired dishes and memorabilia from Clàudia’s career, while her father Arturo supported her early passion for the sport.

    Siblings

Clàudia has one known sibling, a younger sister named Lucía Pina.

The sisters share a strong resemblance and a close relationship that has become publicly visible through social media and matchday moments.

Clàudia frequently celebrates goals by forming an “L” with her fingers as a tribute to Lucía.

Their mother has spoken about how the sisters once fought constantly as children but now enjoy a warm, supportive bond that fills her with pride.

Lucía has appeared alongside Clàudia in emotional photographs after key matches, including Spain’s progress in the Women’s Euro, and has posted affectionate messages such as “Wherever it is, with you” and birthday tributes.

    Career

Pina began playing futsal in Montcada i Reixac as a child, often the only girl in local teams, before joining Espanyol’s youth ranks around the age of 10 or 12.

In 2013 she moved to Barcelona’s youth system, where she scored prolifically, including around 100 goals in one youth season.

She made her senior Barcelona debut in January 2018 at just 16 years and five months old, becoming the youngest player to appear in an official match for the women’s first team at the time.

After limited opportunities, she spent the 2020–21 season on loan at Sevilla, where she featured regularly and contributed goals and assists.

Upon returning to Barcelona she established herself as a key forward, contributing to multiple domestic and European campaigns.

At international level she starred for Spain’s youth teams before making her senior debut in 2021 and becoming a regular contributor in major tournaments.

    Accolades

With Barcelona, Pina has collected multiple Liga F titles, Copa de la Reina trophies, Supercopa Femenina wins and three UEFA Women’s Champions League titles.

She was the top scorer in the 2024–25 Women’s Champions League with ten goals and has been named in the competition’s Team of the Season.

For Spain she won the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, earning the Golden Ball as the tournament’s best player and the Silver Boot as joint-top scorer after scoring seven goals, including both in the final.

She also claimed the 2025 UEFA Women’s Nations League title, scoring twice in the final against Germany, and reached the final of the 2025 UEFA Women’s Championship.

Additional individual recognition includes youth tournament team selections, club player awards and consistent high goal tallies that have cemented her status among the world’s leading forwards.
