Malindi High Court on Wednesday threw out a petition challenging Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi’s election.
The case filed by former Labour CS, Kazungu Kambi was dismissed due to insufficient evidence.
Justice Weldon Korir while delivering the judgement asked the petitioner to foot Sh4 million costs and pay IEBC and returning officer Nelly Ilongo Sh 2.3 million.
The Governor, the judge said, will get Sh1.7 million in cost of the case.

Kambi, while filing the petition in September said the governor had the IEBC systems hacked into and results manipulated.
“We shall demonstrate that before the court. I assure my supporters that their will shall prevail and justice done,” he said.
The KADU Asili candidate said that he had in his possession evidence showing that he beat Kingi with at least 220,039 votes.
