Multichoice owned company DStv has announced that it is ready to air World’s leading football leagues, as they kick off this weekend on Friday, August 10,  2018.

According to a statement sent to newsrooms, the Pay TV company has secured rights to the English Premier League (EPL),  UEFA Champions League (UCL), La Liga, Super Cup, Supertaça Europeia, Supercopa de España (Super Spanish Cup) and Italy’s Serie A.

“Our key priority is to provide the highest quality viewing experiences for the biggest and
best moments in sports for our customers. We shall continue to keep up with this promise
as we once again deliver a memorable football experience this 2018/2019 season with
unmatched football content that resonates with our customers,” said MultiChoice Kenya Managing Director, Eric Odipo.

EPL will kick-off on Friday, 10 August with Manchester United facing Leicester City at 10 pm. The La Liga season will start on Friday August 17,2018, followed by Serie A on Sunday, 19 August 2018.

“This brings the number of games available for DStv subscriber to over 1,140 live matches on up to five football leagues throughout this football period,” Odipo noted.

Throughout the season, SuperSport will show all 380 games of the EPL, La Liga and Serie A.

This comes after DStv took a swipe at competitors without as much content as they do.

The pay tv service provider has already started placing adverts on local dailies and billboards asking it customers “not to settle for less.”
