Felix Osano has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Nairobi Hospital, taking over from James Nyamongo, who held the position until December 2024.
The Kenya Hospital Association (KHA) chairman Dr. Barcley Onyambu said the hospital’s board expressed confidence in Osano’s industry expertise that spans over 17 years across Africa and Asia.
The board also acknowledged that Osano, who has served in an acting capacity since last year, is the right individual to steer the hospital into its next chapter of innovation and patient-centered care.
“He has over 17 years of professional experience spanning global private equity investments in healthcare across Africa and Asia, as well as leadership roles in FMCG and healthcare organisations,” the statement read in part.
Osano’s decorated career extends into various fields as he is a Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS-UK) professional, a Certified International Procurement Professional (CIPP), and a Certified Six Sigma practitioner.
His educational pedigree involves a Doctoral Candidate in Strategic Management and an MBA in Global Business Management at USIU-Africa, a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Daystar University and an Executive Leadership Programme certificate in supply Chain Transformation from Strathmore University.
The hospital has been experiencing management crisis which affected service delivery. Many hope Osano will stabilize the facility.
