Nairobi woman representative Esther Passaris has said that she is ready to step down from her elective seat and join governor Sonko as his deputy governor.

She said that the said partnership will embrace the spirit of the handshake and push forward the Jubilee-NASA unity agenda

“The governor needs a deputy and if he cannot find one, then I am willing to take the position to help him and in the spirit of the handshake we can have a Jubilee-Nasa partnership,” she said.

She however declared that she would only take up the position if she is given specific departments to run. Esther Passaris said that she wanted to run environment, water, education and trade departments. She said that if given those departments she would be able to achieve.

“I can only go there if I am given clear departments to run. I want environment, water, education and trade. I have to have an impact and I can achieve this if I have the executives and make sure they work,” the former Adopt A light Chief Executive officer had stated.

Esther Passaris  said that she would take up the part as deputy governor after self declared NRM general declined the position terming it as a side show. She also declared that the state of hopelessness in the city was to high and that Governor Sonko needed an able deputy to achieve his manifesto.

The position fell vacant after Former Deputy gvernor Polycarp Igathe resigned citing lack of trust between him and governor Mike Sonko.
